Very disappointing to see that the vandalism of the Better Together Campaign signs continues, they did not even last 24 hours. Mr Salmond must be very proud, he wants a free Scotland but only if his supporters agree with you, evidently. Just take a drive round and you will see what I mean. Lets get some facts from the yes campaign and less romanticism. The suggestion that we are not free is abhorrent I have traveled to countries that are oppressed and you dont find activists on your door step handing you flyers and discussing it. Scotland and the UK are free, it came at a high cost and the yes campaign should respect that and not use the term freedom so loosely and with such little respect. Many Scots have given their lives to ensure we and the rest of the UK are free and can ask the questions that the SNP have the right to do. Its a pity that they dont respect the rights of the No Thanks campaign which saddens me. Stop looking and comparing independence with the models they show you. Southern Ireland is independant and owes UK Plc £60 Billion. Norway is independant and pays 60% tax. Its £12 a pint for gods sake. And dont even think about having a nip of whiskey. Oh did I forget to say Norway has more oil than the Scottish Fields. With friends in the oil industry why is it that the SNP can claim there is 4 times more oil left than the experts in the industry say. And no one really knows, but they (SNP) are going to base our economy on an unknown. Ship building on the Clyde is finished under independence. The last ships built by BAE systems on the Clyde not for UK Plc were for Trinidad and Tobago they failed to pay up and BAE sold them at a loss to Oman. There will be no Scottish Navy worth having under independence. The training, maintenance, refit and upkeep burden are extremely high and Mr Salmond has no interest in Defence. The argument is we dont need defence we are Scots, but we could easily be Ukrainian. We will no longer be a member of NATO we would have to re apply just like any other country. We will have no Defence under independance. Interesting to note that 75% of the Scots Guards Regiment are not allowed to vote in the referendum. Mr Salmond clearly felt there was too many NO votes there. Much better to get Europeans resident in Scotland to make a protest vote against England, they care little for Scotland or the UK. After all when it goes belly up they can always go home. Lets complain about the Tories again, but we have only had a Tory / Lib Dem Alliance for 4 years the rest of the time it has been Labour since I think about 1998. Scotland has been predominantly Labour for 40/50 years at least, so you did get the government you voted for, well all but about 18 years. So that argument does not hold water. When you vote and dont get the government or person you want its not called oppression its called DEMOCRACY!!!! If you are not good enough as a politician to get elected and represent your entire country dont make it smaller just to get power! From a personal point of view I have looked at the proposition and the documentation supplied by Mr Salmond SNP. There is no monetary plan There is no economic plan There is no industrial plan There is no defence plan There is no plan beyond the oil So Mr Salmond I am going to follow your plan and say NO thanks.
