Very disturbing. I do think its important to wait for the process to work before jumping to conclusions. While Im strongly opposed to using a switch in spanking, it is relatively common in many cultural settings in America. This of course does NOT justify it, especially if a child is injured. I spanked my children for willful defiance, and I know many in our liberal politically correct culture view this as child abuse. I disagree. Scripture even famously states, spare the rod (of discipline), spoil the child. In other words, some sort of rod (wood) was used in spanking in Israel. Again, please hear me, I am opposed to striking a child with an instrument and absolutely opposed to assaulting or injuring children. If Peterson is found guilty, the Vikings and NFL should discipline him.
