Very excited to record a James Booker special for the BBC Radio 2 Paul Jones show - on air TONIGHT 7pm GMT. Youll hear myself and the fantastic Dom Pipkin playing a few tunes, and a great interview with legendary producer Joe Boyd who produced Bookers seminal Junco Partner record. The idea for the show, which Im very grateful that the Paul Jones team embraced, is inspired by the fantastic film Bayou Maharajah: The Tragic Genius Of James Booker, which has its UK premiere this saturday at The Barbican.
