Very few know what I am about to say 1. Paul makes a huge distinction between sin as a ruling power and sin as a behaviour. 2. Paul says that sin as behaviour is the result of sin as an external presence power dwelling within us He says The wrong I do comes from sin dwelling in me ... It is no longer I who do it but sin that dwells in me. Romans 7:15-21. Can u see this? Then he says that Jesus came and on the Cross faced off and broke the power of the tyrant sin that dwells in us. Romans 8:3 Jesus condemned sin in our flesh. God did not condemn Jesus for our sins on the cross he condemned the tyrant sin dwelling in us so We would not be subject to its control anymore n live in the freedom of grace.
