Very frustrating end to regionals for me this year. I am not walking away upset or discouraged though. Its rather the opposite. As an athlete we hope to have our best stuff when the time comes to lay it on the line and I had my best stuff coming into this weekend. The weekend workouts were laid out much more favorably than Friday afternoons and wed weathered the storm. I suffered an injury Saturday morning and knew that the competition was over for me. I want to thank our wonderful community for rallying behind me and being so unbelievably supportive. Its natural to feel that youve let people down and youve all shown me thats not the case. Im grateful for your love and support. My wife Abby who was there for me every step of the way and always believes in me, even when I dont. Who is my shoulder to cry on when things get hard and times get tough. My coach and my best friend all rolled into one. I have learned so much from this weekend and that is priceless. I know that I was physically and mentally prepared for regionals this year and I can say that I wasnt a year ago. I saw things this year that I didnt have the ability to recognize this time last year in myself and others and it is going to make me better. I walk away from this weekend more focused, more determined, and more resolved than ever! Thank you all for a wonderful season! Now lets take a team to regionals next year!
