Very good explaination to why math is different now. I have several friends that are struggling with helping their children with their math homework, but I think this might be a good new way to go. I remember in high school I was struggling with a particular problem in math and my mom stayed up with me and after looking at what I was trying to figure out, she sat back and simply stated that she couldnt help me but would stay up with me and support me. She then asked me to explain what I was trying to figure out.........so as I was explaining it to her, I discovered what I was missing and solved the problem. Heh............she drew the solution out of me, intentional or unintentional doesnt matter, but she did it either way
