Very happy to say we have happy Nessy back. We got her in July at about 12 months old. Shes hand reared and at first was very tame and affectionate. That was until spring and boy oh boy did we meet another side to him/her. Nessy got that aggressive it was no longer safe for her to be out of the cage... She would lunge across anything (even through the cage) to sink her beak as deep as possible into any flesh that was within reach. So I thought it might help to put her outside so shed have at bit more of the world to observe and keep her attention. (and my blood in me) She stayed out there until last week when I brought her a new cage and play stand for Xmas. A few days before the big day I thought Id bring her in to have a look over her new inside home and stand. Once back inside, at first she would not come to me like she used to but with lots of treats lately weve made a massive breakthrough. Shes now stepping up again and lets me scratch her cheek and head (never used to let me) and it seems we have her back to how she was before the horny piranha showed up. Happy days 😊😊
