Very interesting article- its for sure difficult to keep things in balance when career is a huge focus in our lives. However, the one thing that was always more important to me than a successful career was finding the right partner and getting married... Maybe not every career woman feels this way, and I do feel like there is a growing number of unmarried women. Everything is personal preference of course, but for me I think about what my choices today will lead to in 10 years, 20 years, etc... its true that theres never the perfect time to have children, and I cant imagine suddenly becoming a housewife/mom (nope) but a middle way needs to be found- to ensure balance and a fulfilling life in all respects. Im sure its an ever growing and ever evolving process. Grateful to have a supportive and understanding husband, but nevertheless I feel myself constantly needing to pull myself back from being swallowed by my obsession for my work/music/career... Its a part of my identity yes, but thinking about it every waking moment and feeling guilty for every moment that Im not being productive doesnt feel healthy.... Hehe random Friday night thoughts... ❤️
