Very interesting debate/discussion. Physicist (Krauss) sitting opposite a philosopher theist (Rollins). Doesnt really go anywhere but a good point was raised by Rollins which made me think. (This is why I watch these debates in the first place.). We all hold beliefs that our actions show not to be true: we claim we love animals but eat meat, we claim to love children but wear clothes made by children in sweatshops. Now here was my thought: we have Fair Trade food already. Should the same scheme be extended to other good such as clothes? Especially clothes, given the scale of the problem. Would you be pay more for clothes and fancy brands to know that the people that made them on the other side of the world were treated with respect and paid a fair wage? I would. Well I say I would... Probably the only sensible thing Rollins said in the whole debate. Thoughts? Opinions? Tell me if Im talking nonsense?
