Very nice tribute to Ringos first wife, but their story is much more intriguing than just that. When she met Ringo she would rush up to kiss him on the cheek and get his autograph and he took notice. However, while waiting for him after a gig, by his car, a young female fan rushed her and scratched her face severely in a rage of jealousy. Still she hung in there and they got married when she was 18 years old. And by her 22nd birthday Frank Sinatra recorded a special version of The Lady Is A Tramp with lyrics designed for her, She married Ringo, and she could have had Paul/Thats why the lady is a champ. Even on tour with The Beatles she refused interviews saying she wanted no part of that publicity stuff. Theres a lot more to her story (and fling with George Harrison) and eventual divorce, but her and Ringo stayed friends and he was at her bedside when she passed from complications due to Leukemia. on youtu.be/Wuv7mc6bltw
