Very proud of what these kids have accomplished in so little time. Starting a marching corps from nothing is no easy task. A few months ago, there was not a "Guardians Drum and Bugle corps". These kids were performing with their High Schools and waiting for the summer to begin and maybe catch a DCI show in their town. Today, The Guardians are are performing and growing with 50 awesome kids making it happen. The first Soundsport corps in DCI history. A drumline battle against the Worldclass DCI Corps, The Crossman from San Antonio was the first in Drumline Battle history. The Guardians did not win. What they DID was a ground breaking feat in DCI marchings long history. The Crossmans "Genesis" drumline were great and the Guardians line had a stellar performance. Kinda like David vs Goliath. Be proud Guardians. The beginning of good things to come. Congrats to Adora Choquette and Katy Dirienzo for leading a truly remarkable group of young men and women.
