Very proud to call myself a Virgin Atlantic Employee tonight. I think the pilots and crew were exemplary and epitomised the Virgin values. But I know it doesnt stop there. If there is one thing I know, we are one big team and one big family. Most of us, whether we were flight crew or not were watching the scenes unfold with our hearts in our mouths praying the plane came down safely and without incident. I, like many others would have been ready to head into work at the drop of a hat and do whatever was necessary to assist my colleagues in whatever capacity I could. My thoughts are now with the front line customer services staff, from the contact centre to the front desk, who are probably dealing with 100s of queries from worried customers, and probably several idiots who are calling for a laugh. They can also be classed as heroes tonight. It is a proud day to be wearing red, that is for sure.
