Very sad that Abbys newest roommate earned their angel wings last night. I am glad that I took 30 seconds out of my day yesterday to give them a gift. Many people often comment that they cannot imagine what we are going through and yes it may not be the easiest thing to go through but I am very aware it is not the hardest thing either. I am so grateful that I am still able to sit by her side even if it is only being able to hold her hand at this time. We received a phone call last night from SickKids that they felt her chest was getting infected. They were planning on doing a clean out today due to a possible infection but her surgeon looked at it and thought it should wait. He did not want to rush a chest closure and cause more possible complications. We have loved hearing all of the pay it forward stories for Abby. Someone informed me they were at a fundraising conference at the convention centre and the speaker told Abbys Story:). Also had a message the Peel Police have been talking about it.
