Very saddened to hear of Menahem Golans passing. He was very good to me and gave me incredible opportunities. Ill never forget walking into the Carlton Hotel in Cannes in 1990. In the center of the lobby was a 20 foot tall poster of me promoting my film Virgin High. I sat next to Arnold on the terrace doing interviews all day (he was promoting Terminator 2 and I was promoting Virgin High) - that was Menahem a genius with promotion and a true lover of movies. We did the same thing next year with Hot Under The Collar. Contrary to what Id heard he always paid me and gave us our share of the profit. The films are now in the MGM library and we still get a little check every now and then. Many years later he offered me a chance to travel to Minsk with him to co-star in a film he was directing. It was an amazing life changing experience. He was a guy who really believed in making movies and he did his best to make them happen. G-d bless his soul.
