Very sweet story. Nevertheless, I would be remiss if I didnt point out that children can be cruel if not taught to be empathetic at home. When my daughter came home and told me that there was a new boy in school and nobody wanted to play with him but she went and befriended him. I was so touched by that gesture that confirmed that my message to my daughter was getting through and she was becoming the person that I dreamt for her to be. However unless a child is sick, which most arent allowing a little child to become that fat understanding the consequences both health wise and emotional for that child is child abuse. This wonderful little boy is growing up to fast assuming responsibilities and thoughts that are robbing him of his childhood.
