Very troubling news from Arizona today. Arizona legislators approved a bill that allows ranchers to shoot critically endangered Mexican wolves, despite the fact there are only 83 in the wild, and protected under the Endangered Species Act. This unwarranted legislation is just one example of anti wildlife and anti public lands bills produced by the Arizona legislature in recent years. The vast majority of Arizonans support wolf recovery and preserving public lands, but as in so many cases, far too many legislators are deaf to that reality and ignoring the majority view. Will you stand with us in the coming days and weeks as we fight these bills designed to undermine wolf recovery?
