Very very disappointed by Fonex over the last few days - after everyone raving about them on here, I took my girlfriends phone to them - the screen wasnt smashed or scratched on her Iphone 4S but the bottom right hand of the screen wasnt working properly. Took it in there Saturday, told 1hr 30mins and £25. Fine, sounds good. Go back 1hr 30mins later, collect it - pay, it works. She gets a call later on, and cannot hear a single thing that is being said, shrill noise and basically inaudible. Didnt have this problem before. They are shut on Sundays, so have to wait. She takes it to them on Monday (yesterday), who say to come back in four hours. Even though something has gone wrong since they looked at it, has a 7 day warranty, four hours (?!). She then goes in today drops it off in the morning, just collected it now - and then they tell her the speaker needs replacing, and are now demanding her to pay for the work to be done and to wait more time. She was sworn at multiple times, and treated very badly as a customer. In short, whoever it was is lucky I wasnt there to hear him talk to her like that. She then demanded him to put the phone back together (which was in bits and pieces in the back room), and that she would take it elsewhere. He then went ballistic, and after more swearing and arguing, she took the phone back. and now it works fine. Sounds like someone was lying, either 1) about any work needed doing and it was their fault from the first time, 2) they had already replaced it and lied about future work that needed doing. In short, after this mammoth essay - I am not impressed in the slightest with Fonex (yes, opposite Primark) - making someone very upset who genuinely wanted their phone fixed after they had clearly made a mistake in repairing it the first time.
