Very well written article that covers most of my concerns about these issues. Thanks to my very intelligent nephew Marc for sharing. The ongoing quandary is that science, by its nature, must be skeptical or theories wont be improved and in some cases disproved and abandoned. A religious belief needs no proof and the leap of faith is often against logic for the benefits received by certainty. Again, the issue is: As an American, you are free to follow your beliefs but not to impose them on me. With vaccinations, we are dealing with the ugly truths of statistics. The number of people that get bad and sometime crippling reactions to vaccinations is statistically very small but if you or a loved one are one of those, its 100% for you. Every action we take in the world involves some risk. Every human body is different thus every vaccine or drug has some uncertainty.
