Very worrying and WILL affect anyone who one day becomes ill or disabled after an accident. A recent response to an FOI request confirms that claimants will NOT be able to claim ESA (sickness benefit) whilst waiting for the reviews/tribunals process to be completed. The DWP say that claimants will instead have the: “option of applying for alternative benefits, such as Jobseekers Allowance, however they must meet the conditions of entitlement”. And there lies the problem, when claiming Jobseekers allowance a claimant is confirming their fit for and looking for work, however, if your also appealing a decision stating your sick/disabled and unfit for work, surely claiming JSA would be fraud? johnnyvoid.wordpress/2013/06/11/disagree-with-an-atos-decision-then-starve-say-dwp/
