Vet Day - Update. The news at the vet was not great. Blossom: Although she is eating she is still not growing/developing normally and is very thin. Parasites have been ruled out. She has become increasingly less active and has spells where she is almost catatonic. Her heart rythm, rate, etc. is really good. It is felt that she has a seizure disorder. We are going to treat for E.C. just in case but, are really unsure what is causing her neurological symptoms and failure to thrive. For now, fenbendazole and I will keep loving her and giving her a very nutritious and calorie dense diet. When she is a little older we can do blood work and see if that gives us any clues about what is going on with her. Andy - a full dental exam revealed very poor enamel, diseased upper incisors, and wave mouth. Andy is a dental bunny. He is staying overnight at the vets and will have surgery in the morning. Charlotte - Charlotte was surrendered to a Quebec shelter two weeks ago. At the time and since then she has been passing bloody discharge. Exam confirms an enlarged uterus and cancer is strongly suspected. She will also be staying overnight, at the vets tonight, for emergency spay surgery in the morning. Please think of Andy and Charlotte tomorrow. Andy is strong and his surgery should go well. Sweet Charlotte is not in the best condition to be undergoing surgery. If cancer is found xrays will be done to see if it has metastasized. I hope we are not too late for this beautiful girl. I will post as soon as I hear anything but, that may not be until later in the day. ~Lisa
