Vet just called, he is still hanging in there and doing good. She said he doing about average as to be expected at this point. He went out to walk & potty 3 times today. She said he tried to pull her to the road up front because he is lookong to go home. (Which breaks my heart.) She said he is still pretty weak but is building up a little more strength. She tried to put some food infront his face to see if he would show any interest & he turned his nose. She said its most likely he is still uncomfortable. He had a bit of trauma & bleeding in his intestinal lining. His hydration is looking better & he hasnt thrown up at all today. His temp is pretty low though & she said its most likely due to the pain meds & lack of activity. Hes running about a 98/99, she would like to see him in the 100-101 range. If he starts running a high fever that will not be good as it is a sign of infection. She says she left him a bowl of water tonight to see if hell drink on his own & hold it down. Tomorrow they are going to try to start him on a chicken or beef broth. Im really hoping he tries it and keeps it down. They are also giving meds to soothe & coat his intestinal lining. He still has a long road to recovery. Dont think we will get to see him tomorrow, but thats okay cause he needs to get better first. But as always we are missing our Bubba!
