Veteran of Many Battles Dies In Plane Accident A telegram, was received Wednesday by Jim Kilgore, driver for the Brookfield Diary, that his son Orlie Kilgore, veteran of seven naval air battles in the Solomon Islands and other South Pacific areas, had been killed in an airplane accident in Kansas, Mr. Kilgore left immediately for the east. Young Kilgore was recently married, his wife was living somewhere in the east. He was a radio operator in the naval air corps, and was recently assigned to shore duty.
