Veterans Day is Monday, November 11th. originally, it was called Armistice Day to mark the end of World War I. it was renamed Veterans Day to honor all those who placed life and limb in harms way to defend our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. i would call my Dad (a combat vet, PTSD included) some twenty years ago in his real estate brokering office. Whatsha doing?. he goes working, whatcha doing? i reply (a right hand vet) working. i ask isnt it funny that the country is celebrating a National Holiday, and the Vets are working? he laughed and hung up.
