Veterans. I cant say enough about them and how much we owe them. Locally, there are a few tributes you should know about: 1. Tonight, a FREE Veterans Hometown Salute at West Leyden High School Auditorium from 7 to 8 pm. Donations go directly to Wounded Warrior Project. 2. Tomorrow, the Village of Franklin Park and Legion 974 will host an observance at the Veterans Monument on Belmont just west of the Village Hall at 11 am. The public is invited. 3. Red Robin, which recently opened in North Riverside at 26th and Harlem, is making this generous offer to all veterans and active duty service members! Freedom is not free. We salute our veterans every day!
