Veterans across the globe all have one thing in common... We stand and fight against evil no matter when or where. We decide to lay our lives on the line. We have the courage to look our brothers on the left and right and say I will use my own life as a shield for you to stay protected. We look death in the face. We push our bodies past its breaking point. We do and see things that we may not be proud of, but that is how we stand before you today. We come home to our loved ones, but they only know a fraction of what we have been through. It takes something special for a human being to put his life on the line and fight for his family, friends, and his beloved country. Some come home. Some do not. Not a day goes by that I dont realize how lucky I am to be alive and be with my family and friends. So today, I tip my hat and raise my glass to every single person who swore that oath to defend this country and put himself in harms way to ensure protection and freedom....CHEERS!
