Veterinary Nurse City Vet - Limerick The intern will gain practical experience in assisting the Veterinary Surgeon with daily duties, animal health & welfare, dealing with clients, reception duties, safety & hygiene, diagnostics and laboratory tests. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following assisting with surgery, maintenance of the clinic and patient care, advising clients about husbandry and responsible pet ownership, running of diagnostic tests within the clinic including diagnostic imaging and laboratory analysis. Administrative duties may also be part of the veterinary nurses responsibilities. On completion the intern will have attained skills in veterinary procedures and administration of medication, animal health and welfare, safety and hygiene and communication with clients. Skills Requirements Applicants must have done at least two years undergraduate study of a Veterinary Nursing or similar or have qualifications register with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. Please Note: This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
