Vharens vision was blurry and he felt cold except for one spot, his arm. During a fierce fight with a Dremora Valkynaz, and he cut him down, and began to charge at another but was kicked to his knees and when he began to spin and raise his shield it was too late. A Dremora Kynreeve raised his greatsword, the dark blade gleaming in the light, and brought it down on Vharens shield arm. The blade went through, and half his upper arm remained. His right arm clutched his sword yet, and he jumped up, yelling impaling the Dremora multiple times in the stomach, then slashing at his chest vertically to the left, then the right. The Dremora fell, and Vharen clutched his bleeding arm. Dhalen, Ylgar, you both need to get off the ship with Lucia now. Before you all get injured! He commanded with what remained of him. Dremora began to notice Vharens injury and swarmed him, hoping to take down one of the defenders of the ship. He cut them down, but was getting weaker. An arrow pierced his sword arm, and he dropped his sword, the flame a light blue and flickering. The sign of sadness. This emotion was not Vharens, but the swords. It flickered, and went out, as Vharen lost his footings and fell off the ship. He landed and hit the ground, hard. He snapped the arrow shaft in his arm against the ground as he hit the ground. He raised his hand towards the ship and yelled Shut the portal! and fell unconscious. -Vharen
