Via Dan ~ DIOR TINY DIOR SCARED AT THE SHELTER: Now, he has one more reason to be terrified! TONIGHT IS HIS LAST NIGHT! 4 year old Dior’s life has gone completely awry! First, he got into someone when they tried to catch him, then he got stuck in a cage at Brooklyn ACC where he sat all alone with no one coming and now he’s on TOMORROW’S euthanasia list! The one consistent observation of Dior is that he is TERRIFIED. During his medical exam, he was scared but allowed “all handling and petting”. Though he was in decent health when he came in, Dior caught the “shelter cold and is now pretty sick from it. And when it came time for his behavioral eval, again, he was scared. BUT little Dior got all 1’s and 2’s on his Safer except for the game of tag that just scared the heck out of him. He wasn’t eating, didn’t want to play with the toy or the rawhide but when that strange dog came into the room, little Dior approached him in a submissive way as if to say ‘be my friend, please!’. Tonight, Dior has one chance and only one chance to find a new family. He needs a family that will help him stop being scared, who will reassure him that no one is going to hurt him, that will help him recover from the ordeal of being a stray and being at the shelter. At 4, Dior has many years of playing and running and belly rubs and doggie kisses left in him. Can you see yourself giving him those years? If you can, speak up right now to FOSTER/ADOPT Dior.
