Via PaulYork AnimalRights: This is really worth listening to, even if you think you know everything there is to know about a climate change, because the speaker sums up the latest research in 15 minutes, and the conclusion is memorable: we are stuck between the impossible and the unthinkable, and your job is to make the impossible [getting off of fossil fuels and factory farming essentially within 5 to 10 years] possible. Unthinkable is a 6 degree C temp rise by 2100, which is catastrophic, and beyond that 12 degree C temp rise by 2300, which results in most life on Earth dying. So we have 5, maybe 10 years, to stop that, for the sake of future generations and all other life forms on earth (trillions of animals). It is tempting to give up before you started, but what alternative is there? We have a moral responsibility to take this seriously and try, with all our effort. Going vegan for everyone should be part of that, in my view. The UN already endorses meat reduction to reduce GHG emissions.
