Via Rockjumper - Worldwide Birding Adventures #wildbird - Many of us know these graceful denizens of our oceans from photos of flying birds silently cruising along in search of a potential meal (and, for some of us, from actually witnessing them in the feather, so to speak), but very few of us will ever view them so closely and intimately, as captured in this image by Adam Riley. These bonding Black-browed Albatrosses were photographed on Saunders Island, where they were just one of over 10,000 pairs of these magnificent “mollymawks” that annually breed there. What an incredible spectacle that must have been – even for a non-birder!
