Via: Roy Pitre {{And I say many, many people {Christian}} will NOT Like nor agree, but that does NOT make It Truth !! for It Is }} YES TRUE GRACE NEVER PROMOTES LAVSCIVOUSNESS, LAWLESSNESS, OR LICENSE TO SIN 1 Peter 5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. The Apostle Peter, in his first letter, in summing up all he said in the letter, said ...this is the True Grace of God wherein ye stand (1 Peter 5:12). There is a True Grace of God which the New Testament teaches. If theres a True Grace, there must be a False Grace. If theres a True Teaching of Grace, there must be a False Teaching of Grace. There is a True Grace that produces a Holy, Godly Life, and there is a Perverted, Twisted, Greasy, Hyper Grace that produces License to do as you please and serve yourself. We will mishandle Grace if we do not see the connection between Grace and Truth. John 1:17 says, “For the Law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.” There’s an Abundance of Teachings on Grace circulating in the Body of Christ in our day but we must be certain that what is taught about Grace is linked with Truth which is the True Grace of God. There are certain things that Biblical Teachings of the True Grace of God will never promote: 1. True Grace never promotes LASCIVIOUSNESS (Jude 4). Lasciviousness is the total lack of Self Restraint; No Feeling of Shame; No Restraint From Impurity. 2. True Grace Never Promotes Defiance for or Disregard for Gods Standards, which is called LAWLESSNESS (1 John 3:4). Lawlessness is Disregard/Defiance of Gods Laws and Will to the will of self; it is the hatred of Law. It is also translated Iniquity elsewhere in Scripture. Lawlessness will not subject itself to the Law of God which the Bible calls carnal (Romans 8:7). The Old Testament was Written for our Learning and Instruction with many Types and Shadows of what we face today. Remember our flesh is in allegiance with satan and it’s tendency and inclination is to: a. Do things its own way like Cain. b. Reason and take things into its own hands like Abraham and produce Ishmael. c. Rule God out completely and forget God like Esau. d. Scheme, connive, and manipulate like Jacob. e. Rise up and oppose any new advance in God’s plan like Amalek. 3. True Grace never promotes LICENSE or Unrestrained Careless Liberty but loving service (Galatians 5:13). Gods Grace frees us to serve not to sin or indulge our flesh. Grace is Never a Cover for Sin or Selfishness. 4. True Grace Teaches us how to live Soberly, Godly, Righteously (Titus 2:11, 12) while Denying Ungodliness and Worldly lusts. Titus 2:11, 12 says, “For the Grace of God that bringeth Salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, Denying Ungodliness and Worldly Lusts, we should live Soberly, Righteously, and Godly, in this present world.” Any Teaching on Grace that Produces Slackness, Looseness, Ungodly, Unrestrained Living is a Perversion of True Grace. THERE ARE THINGS GRACE CANNOT DO A. Grace cannot condemn the sinner and excuse the saint for committing the same sin (wages of sin is death/separation for both). B. Grace cannot forgive Un-Confessed Sin (1 John 1:9). C. Grace cannot forgive you when you Do Not Repent. Confession Implies Repentance. D. Grace cannot Guarantee man Eternal Life if he doesnt Repent and Receive Jesus. E. Grace Cannot Cancel Gods Law of Sowing/Reaping (Galatians 6:7-9). F. Grace Cannot Keep Man from Moral Failure if he Willfully Chooses to Sin.
