Only got a C in freshman English. The key to writing is reading. When I was a student I did not have time to read novels so I read Classic Comic books that summarized in story board form great novels such as Les Miserables, comicvine/classic-comics-9-les-miserables/4000-274936/, and in turn I wrote book reviews for my classes. Eventually I read the novel and enjoyed it even more. I often have students in my classes who are confounded by theory. The professor does not make it relevant so I turn them on to story boards (comic books) have them read Eduard Rius Marx for beginners simplified in comic book format. Rius teats dozens of topics including Foucault, Maoism, and even the Mexican Revolution.
