Call SP Traffic Srinagar, Aug 19: The Traffic Police has directed the minibus operators to start nonstop bus service for the Kashmir University students from five different places, a police handout Monday said. It said the SP Traffic Srinagar, Haseeb-ur-Rehman and other officials had been has been receiving complaints of slow movement of passenger vehicles particularly on Dargah-Hazratbal route. “In this regard the students had approached to the SP Traffic for redressal of their genuine grievance,” the police handout said. “SP Traffic Srinagar called a meeting of Chairman Haji Peer Transport Company, new Kashmir Transport Company, Star Transport Company and Harmukh Transport Company, who are plying their vehicles on Dargah, Hazratbal route and directed them to immediately start nonstop service passengervehicles from Batamaloo, LD and Pantha Chowk to Dargah Hazratbal. During morning peakhours i,e 800 hours to 1000 hours and evening 1600 hours to 1800 hours,” the handout said. “All the transport companies have agreed to start nonstop service on these routes. In this regard, 05 buses will operate from Batamaloo, 05 from LD, 02from Pantha Chowk, 02 from Ganderbal and 01 from Kangan,” it added. “The nonstop vehicles will stopat Dalgate, Khanyar, Rainawari, Chattipadshahi and Hazratbal stop only. These busses shall becarrying a proper nonstop signage board on the front window screen,” the handout said.
