Via Tom Pauken The mishandling of this Ebola situation continues. The Obama administration has just sent thousands of American soldiers to Africa--many of whom are from Texas--to combat Ebola. Is this the proper role for our US military? I dont think so. Our soldiers are trained to fight wars, not to be health care workers. What is the risk to our soldiers who are compelled to go by the orders of the federal government? This Administration has shown its incompetence time and time again--the roll out of Obamacare, the lack of knowledge of, and preparedness for, the emergence of ISIS as a powerful force in the Middle East, the failure to prevent people entering our country from nations where the Ebola epidemic rages, the unwillingness to control our own borders from illegal entry--the list goes on and on. Why should our soldiers, and the American people, have any confidence that this latest deployment of American troops to West Africa on a non-military type mission wont turn badly for all concerned as well? Why dont the Republicans in the Congress demand that Congress goes into immediate session to make the decisions necessary--which the Obama administration seems unwilling to make (or incapable of making) to get the Ebola situation under control in our own country before more outbreaks like we have seen in Dallas take place.
