Via my cousin, Shari Holbrook: Well...I just feel like I have to say a few things. I dont want to come off harsh or preachy...these are just some thoughts and feelings I am having re: Ebola. First and foremost, it is here. Period. We had better get used to it and get as educated as possible about it. Second, I think we should be wary, but...we should not let the fear of this disease run us or our lives. Think of it like a terrorist group & how we are not supposed to let it take our way of living away from us, & what we are supposed to do. If we witness anything unusual, or if we hear about something unusual...dont panic, Report it to your local law enforcement center. We need to keep our thinking caps on, use common sense and again, educate yourself on the subject. Also...dont be selfish. If you think you have come in contact with it.... get in touch with the local authorities (by phone) and DONT TRAVELl! I would gladly put myself in isolation so as not to harm anyone else. Truly...I would! Unfortunately, we have to face the fact that this will get worse before it gets better. But, I have faith that we will get systems and protocols and even sanctions in place to deal with it. These things take time. This is unprecedented here and people are expecting too much in some...SOME cases of our professionals handlings of this. Lets all hang in there...try and be patient and not to stress too much. We have each other...friends and family to comfort one another. We will prevail. I have no doubt. This is not going to take us down! America is STILL a great country!! We can do this!
