Vice Chairman of CRIF former France Meir Habib, was chosen tonight (Sunday) the French Parliament. CRIF is the umbrella organization of French Jews and Habib resigned as deputy chairman of the organization, for the purpose of dealing Parliament, and tonight, as he won the election. Please note that this is the first time an observant Jew was elected to parliament. Habib close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and received his blessing to move as well as blessing of Rabbi Kanievsky, Rabbi Steinman and Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. Conversation with Channel 7 said kindly, "I do not digest what happened. Hopefully the French parliament which was elected pride for the Jewish people." "I hope that we will be responsible and hopes of the people and the work done," he said kindly. Habib, 52, married with four children and divides his time between Paris and Jerusalem line.
