Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Singh to be conferred honorary doctorate by the University of Edinburgh --------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Singh will be conferred an honorary doctorate by the University of Edinburgh at a special ceremony this summer. Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Timothy OShea gave this information at a meeting in Delhi on 23 February 2014 during his academic tour of universities in India. Edinburgh and Delhi university enjoy a rich and active partnership through an MoU. It has led to Edinburgh students participating in the Gyanodaya train, a tour to Edinburgh by DU students with disability, an international conference, exchange of e- lectures, and plans for a hockey camp. The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1583, is one of the finest universities in the world and is ranked 17 today.
