Position Summary Leads, directs and manages the teams responsible for all aspects of the Supply Chain Procurement, Inventory Control processes including Purchasing, S&OP, Forecasting, and Inventory Planning across the multiple facility network, Transportation, Manufacturing, Business Analytics and Data Management. Provides the insight and guidance to ensure the team supports and collaborates across the organization including the Sales, Marketing, Contact Center Operations and Distribution Center to achieve mutual business goals. Reporting Relationships This role will have approximately 6-8 direct reports spanning Inventory Control, Purchasing, S&OP, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, Transportation, Manufacturing, Business Analytics and Data Management. This position will report directly to the EVP, Operations. Primary Responsibilities Lead the Supply Chain, S&OP and Procurement Value Stream process to include the development, management, and communication of SSI procurement policies and procedures. Provide overall functional leadership for procurement/purchasing, setting strategy and collaborating with all other affected functions, i.e., merchandising, international sourcing Manage direct reports to ensure process effectiveness, continuous improvement and high morale among associates. Provide strategic and tactical leadership for procurement and in all facets of the procurement value stream to leverage sourcing capabilities and drive economic advantage. Collaborate with business unit leaders to implement and leverage processes among merchandising, purchasing, forecasting, and operations to execute the planning and replenishment process and to achieve fill rate and inventory goals. Prepare cost / benefit analysis to determine the optimal product order quantities based on pricing, lead-times, demand, warehouse capacity / utilization, delivery schedules and inventory carrying costs. Identify and help maintain optimal inventory levels to maximize inventory turns, reduce exposure of aged inventory, avoid out-of-stocks and reduce inventory carrying costs. Assure compliance to procurement policies and procedures and address non-compliance appropriately. Oversee Manager’s selection and use of metrics via Visual Management for value stream to identify and close on performance target gaps. Monitor and ensure appropriate action is taken and communicated regarding procurement metrics. Serve as a resource for escalated vendor and customer issues, service, and complaints in relationship to the process and the impacts upon customer satisfaction and vendor management. Develop and motivate the teams. Evaluate and strengthen the teams, as required, to solidify succession plans and enhance capabilities to meet strategic and operating objectives. Recruiting and develop highly effective direct reports and staff. Be an active leader. Foster a collaborative cross-functional culture and successfully influence other business functions and management. Promote a culture of collaboration, team-orientation, performance, discipline, and customer-focus. Be an effective spokesperson and champion for the procurement value stream. Be an effective spokesperson and champion of continuous process improvement. Project management, the use of lean principles and practices.
