Vicki Gonzalez-Pinkham.. states: I have been searching for affordable housing for our Native Elders. There are four men and four women that are homeless and staying under bridges or in the woods in the Seattle area. Most of them do not have an income, or have very little...One elder (70 years old) is a veteran. There is NOTHING available for him! OMG! With Veterans day yesterday, one would think that there must be a place for him (other than his van). If anyone knows of a warm, safe place for him/them, please let me know as soon as possible. I have called 211, Catholic Community Services and transitional housing and Churches (from Seattle to Everett) and everyone has said they dont have room for them.
