Vicki Johnson I find it insulting that you think that I cannot think for myself. You know nothing about being Black, you just have Black skin. I do know some Black history, I know what I have experienced, and I know my own grandfather told me about seeing a slave tied to a tree and whipped until his intestines came out. I cannot forget and I will not forget, or as you said get over it! Why is it that Black people are suppose to forget because slavery is over, but no one tells the Holocaust victims to forget? People say they will never forget 9/11, so why are Blacks suppose to forget the US Government bombing of Greenwood, a Black community of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921? This is not just about Michael Brown. It is the way Black people are treated in the US. Its about a Black man being stopped by the state patrol because he is walking with his hands in his pockets. It is about the police shooting John Crawford in Walmart based on a lie received by phone. This shooting resulted in Crawfords death and the death of a white woman who had a heart attack from trying to get out of the store when shots were fired. The man who called in this lie has never been charged. It is about the way police are abusing their power and nothing is being done. Michael Brown is just the case that made things reach a higher plane. Please learn your Black history and become aware of what is going on around you.
