Victim ID’d RICE LAKE — A Rice Lake Township man who died in a Thursday traffic accident has been identified. Benjamin Jones, 24, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Rice Lake Road about 11:09 a.m. when he attempted to pass a sport utility vehicle in front of him that was making a left turn into the Gnesen General Store, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said. Jones’ motorcycle struck the SUV, resulting in Jones, his motorcycle and the SUV going into the ditch. Jones, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
