@Victoria. The people who will be running the world when you are old and vulnerable are presently being molded by professional educators whom you have every incentive to keep happy and who ought to be heeded when they tell you what they need to do their jobs. @Saskatoon City Hall. Think of transit as people plumbing. Shit has to flow. I can actually think of no more pressing strictly municipal issue (poverty being [inter]national) than bringing our transit services up to the standards of your big city pretensions. How can we pay $3.10 (thats right people, Saskatoon city buses make you pay in dimes!) for a ride on a paucity of illogically designed routes, and still end up with a mechanic shortage and the lowest-paid drivers in the country!? Are you under the impression that this is an optional thing? Are you trying to make a profit off it? Its neither optional nor about revenue, it is infrastructure. Your local economy needs people to be able to get to their jobs, ESPECIALLY the people most in need of jobs, who are least likely to have automobiles. Or are we trying to drive up crime rates by making it even harder to get out of a rut? Some provinces and some cities have shockingly misplaced priorities.
