Video: Universal Language - A True Story by DSK CHK A long time ago, when I was on a family trip to Disney World, I met this incredibly beautiful German girl and spent every moment I had of those two brief weeks with her. We knew our time together was limited but it was also challenged because we couldnt communicate at all due to the fact that we both didnt speak each others language. Instead, we just listened to music every minute we were together. We would listen on my portable boom box until my batteries would die every evening. I remember purchasing batteries everyday from the gift shop, just to make sure we could play music when we met. We listened while sitting by the closed pools after hours until security found us and kicked us out. We hopped on buses and explored all the resorts. I would write a note and put it in her pocket every night before we went our separate ways, to remind her where to meet me and at what time. I pointed at the clock, gesturing when it would strike a certain moment or drawing it on the note, because even our measurements of time were different. It was all so alien to me but yet undeniably comforting being with her. We snuck out of our rooms to meet up and just walked anywhere and everywhere with our CDs in hand. Barely a word was ever spoken, and to this day, it became one of the most intimate connections Ive ever encountered with another person. If we did speak, we would sometimes just pretend to know what we were saying, although deep down we both knew better. We would catch a nod or a smile at the wrong time, but neither of us corrected each other... We just laughed and danced through the night. It was one of those moments where a soft smile, a simple gesture, or light touch spoke more clearly than any words could ever describe. We were forced to stare at each others eyes... Ill never forget her eyes. Our connection seemed so much deeper because of our inability to understand each other verbally, as if it heightened out other senses while being instantly drawn together through the music we both brought on our short holiday. We took turns sharing our own tastes and styles from the different parts of the World we came from. The whole experience almost seemed like it was fiction written into a movie I once saw, but yet I remember it so lucidly. Even till this day I become incredibly nostalgic thinking about those two weeks with her... Because it reminds me, that music truly is a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE STORY BY DSK CHK MUSIC BY PORTER ROBINSON - SEA OF VOICES VISUALS BY VINCENT BRADY & DAMIEN KRISL Download Universal Language Audio Here: goo.gl/m0wk78 Purchase Worlds by Porter Robinson Here: goo.gl/M0TRNC
