Video example fit tips ✌️ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Although trying new exercises into your routine can assist in development and encourage new adaptation; remember simply varying a basic exercise can infact be just as if not more effective. Your body will be used to the movement and ROM, and so therefore the ultimate focus or concentration will be on the slight change of that familiar movement. This is similar to changing foot position in a squat/ leg press, deadlift etc or in this circumstance i have added pressure resistance on a normal side stepped squat. Usually this could be done holding Dumbbells or a barbell.. But by attatching my ankle to the cable encourages more focus and contraction on the eccentric/ negative part of the movement. (ie the stepping back to centre.) my foot is under tension on the step back in, so with the addition of the cable attachment, I am forcing my right leg to control the weight. This can be replicated with other exercises.. Such as bicep curls with two cables, and a lot of you will be familiar with tricep push downs holding the rope attachment. Try this principle with other exercises, increase the time under tension and control with resistance on the eccentric part of the exercise!! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
