Did you know that our already stressed waste water treatment facility is sometimes unable to handle incoming water volume and has to discharge raw sewage into the river via various outflow points? The main cause is combined sewer/storm water pipes in Monctons downtown core which brings storm water to the facility. TransAqua could sure use our support in this, because we know they hate this as much as we do. Ways you can help: - Reduce water use in your home during high precipitation events - Install a rain barrel, rain garden, and/or ensure you have plenty of topsoil on your lawn to help absorb run off - Learn more about where your water comes from and goes after youve used it
