Dear Younus, We won! 3 weeks ago, Satyamev Jayate aired a show on road safety. This came after 34,000 Change.org users signed my petition demanding this from Satyamev Jayate. Last March, I lost four of my friends from IIT Delhi to a road accident. They died because nobody helped them immediately. I believed this problem had a solution. I started a petition on Change.org asking Satyamev Jayate to do a show on road safety so that more people help accident victims. Aamir Khan, in the show, spoke about dangers of Indian roads and what we should do. Through this show we have managed to get the message across to millions of people. Younus, this is just the first step towards safer Indian roads. Piyush Tewari, a guest on the show, has started another petition asking Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, to introduce a Good Samaritan Law. This new law, if created, will encourage and protect regular citizens to help injured people on the road. I have signed Piyushs petition demanding this law. Younus, I am sure you would like to sign it too. We all need to feel safer on our roads. People signing in large numbers will convince our Health Minister to introduce this law.
