Viet Nam, France officially set up strategic ties Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had talks with French Prime Minister Jean - Marc Ayrault , in Paris on September 25 ( Vietnam ). They discussed and agreed big methods to boost bilateral cooperation in the future as well as international issues and areas of mutual concern. According to envoy of the Vietnam News Agency. Prime Minister Jean - Marc Ayrault Warmly welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his wife’s official visit to the Republic of France , Prime Minister Jean - Marc Ayrault said that the visit is a significant milestone in promoting friendly, cooperative relations between the two countries . Prime Minister Jean - Marc Ayrault appreciate/ praise/ spoke highly the achievements of socio- economic development in Vietnam/ French PM Jean-Marc Ayrault applauded Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements, especially its great efforts to overcome the economic crisis in recent years Prime Minister Jean - Marc Ayrault also rated/ addressed Vietnam’s increasing international status, particularly VN’s important role in the process of building the ASEAN community. He affirmed his desire to boost the cooperation with Vietnam on the fields. Thanks for the warm welcome of the Government and the France for the VN’s delegation, PM Dung affirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of attaching special importance to the relations with France as the strategic partnership is not a destination but a new starting point with many opportunities and prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Strategic Partnership requires the two sides’ tremendous efforts in the implementation, in order to bring the substantive results to 2 countries’ interest. On the spirit, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the French to facilitate Vietnamese goods in entering the market there, encouraged the French credit institutions involved in restructuring the banking system and power projects , electronics , telecommunications and renewable energy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also proposed France’s priorities financial assistance to projects on the development of urban technical infrastructure in Vietnam. ( renovation and upgrading of urban water supply , construction of waste water treatment systems , waste ) , clean energy , vocational training , agricultural production , biodiversity conservation and environmental protection in response to climate change in Vietnam .. . The two government leaders agreed to strengthen delegation exchange frequently through bilateral visits or meetings on the sidelines of international conferences in the time to come. The two leaders consented to promote cooperation in the fields of defense, security, economy, trade and investment , science and technology , education and training .... Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation and mutual support of their participation in international organizations. French leaders affirmed their support to strengthen the EU-VN’s comprehensive cooperation, especially in economics and trade. Regarding the East Sea issue, the French side shares and supports Vietnam’s consistent policy of settling the disputes by peaceful measures on the basis of respecting international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, strictly implementing the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), and advancing to an early formation of the Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC). Immediately after the talks, The two sides later signed a joint statement on their strategic partnership between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of France. they witnessed the signing of a cooperative document between the two countries; such as finance Protocol for project equipment Tho General Hospital, Agreement on exchange of supervisory information between the banks and the State Bank safety watchdog France ( ACPR ). Memorandum of Understanding between the Department and trade promotion agency for the international development of French small and medium enterprises ( Ubifrance ), Minutes of Agreement between Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and the Group GDF Suez LNG project and Son My generator, Binh Thuan, Letter of Intent for the purchase of the Airbus A320 between Vietjet Air and Airbus Group, Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam and the Vinci Group on cooperation in infrastructure development of transport in Vietnam.
