TOPIC: Is freedom of speech necessary in a free society? Many national crisises, such as Ukraine, Syria and Egypt one, came from the non-freedom of speech initially. Freedom of speech is one of many fundamental human rights, but different with the others, people are given the right to demonstrate their ideas, present their wonderings, and questionnaire for any unclear point. Furthermore, in a democracy society, for example America, people are able to contribute their words for the countrys development, by that way, they can express their national responsibility and nationalism. In others word, freedom of speech is a significant aspect of a free society due to two following reasons. Firstly, freedom of speech allows people to express their national owner role. Specifically, citizen enable to raise their voice to demonstrate their arguments, agreement, or more without preventions from government. For the illustration, American government arranged a website which allows all American have a chance to speak. Similarity as Facebook which is a very popular social net-world now, each peoples demand will appear as a small post in this government website. If a suggestion reaches over one hundred thousand agreement from others in thirty days the offering will be considered and may be published. Secondly, non-freedom of speech impacts the economic of a nation negatively. If a country limits or puts the freedom of speech as an illegal misconducting behavior intentionally, that action can lead to a national crisis easily, and the economic will be influenced definitely, such as Ukraine circumstance. Ukraines crisis lead to a civil war between government side and rebelling people in this beautiful country. Consequently, the economic was ruined completely, and millions of Ukrainians life are being threating everyday. All in all, freedom of speech, which is not only representing citizens contribution to the increasing of a country, but also maintaining and developing the economic, is a corner stone of a democracy social structure . Due to its significant with a country, freedom of speech should be respected by all people. Moreover, freedom of speech can help citizen and government see eye to eye to figure out the strategy for national issues, and overcome all misunderstoods and arguments which are can accompany with many problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my IELTS essay about the topic number 4.
