Vines defines the word "conformed" as..to fashion like something else. In exodus 32 the bible says aaron "fashioned" the golden image. What was he doing? He was conforming to the old way of life. In egypt thats what they did. Was make images to worship. Even though aaron acknowledged the golden calf as yahweh.. the one who brought them out of the land of egypt, the image of Him was reduced to fit there disobedient lifestyles! Because they didnt press into the mountain they were conformed to the world. Romans 12:2 but be not conformed to this world, but be transformed, by the renewing of your mind so you can approve what the good, and accaptable, and perfect will of God.
