Vinh & I would like to say Thank You to all who came out to our Tailgate Party yesterday. We had a great time and hope everyone else did as well. Sad about the loss, but still hopeful UT will make a turn around and play in both halves of the game from here on out. Unfortunately I have some bad news. After much consideration and monitoring of our donations, we are going to have to make the $5 entry fee MANDATORY instead of voluntary. Hopefully making it mandatory will help us cover our costs and we won’t have to raise it to a $10 mandatory fee. We need to cover our expenses, the only thing Vinh & I don’t pay for at the tailgates is the beer, everything else you eat, drink, watch and play is provided by us. With the exception of the food people bring. Oh and about the donated food, we always welcome more food and ice, but this does not in any way waive the entry fee. We do not require anyone to bring food, when we cook, we cook for 50-60 people. We appreciate everyone who pitches in with extra food and ice, you are awesome!! Please pass along to your family and friends who attend, that the $5 is mandatory beginning this next weekend. Wristbands will be exchanged for the entry fee and if someone does not have a wristband, they may not stay at our party. This is a private party for family & friends and friends of friends. We like to keep it that way. Feel free to question ANYONE who does not have a wristband and let myself, Vinh or Janie know. Janie handles the wristbands if Vinh & I cannot, which is most of the day/night. Please DON’T put your money in the tip jar and say “I already paid”, you will be charged again when you get a wristband, so you might as well save your donation until you get your wristband. No $, no Wristband!!! PERIOD! We know how many people we have at the tailgates by count of wristbands and we know people put in $1 sometimes and say “but I already paid”. That won’t fly any longer so please respect us and our tailgate by paying your way. We do a lot for everyone who comes out, please show some respect or don’t come. Thank you for your understanding of this rule change and we hope you continue to come out to cheer on the Longhorns and have a blast at our “A DO, A BEER, A TAILGATE HERE” tailgate party!!
